Tucked away on the serene southwestern coast of Penang, Teluk Bayu offers a perfect escape from the more crowded tourist spots on the island. As I drove through winding roads and bumpy tracks, the excitement of discovering a less explored gem grew, and what awaited me was truly a tranquil experience by the sea. Getting There: A Scenic Journey The journey to Teluk Bayu Penang isn’t for the faint-hearted, but it’s part of the allure of this secluded beach. The road leading up to the beach is narrow, bumpy, and at times feels like a rollercoaster ride. As I navigated my small car, I couldn’t help but smile at the thought of how much easier it would have been with a motorbike or 4x4.
