My Stay at Freddies Sumur Tiga Sabang: A Relaxing Getaway In The Weh Island

During my recent trip to Sabang, I had the pleasure of staying at Freddies Sumur Tiga Sabang, a cozy hotel located right along the serene Sumurtiga Beach. It was the perfect choice for a relaxing and memorable escape, with its stunning beachfront location and the personal touch of the team that made everything feel effortless and comfortable.

From the moment we arrived, Freddies Hotel Sabang felt like a home away from home. We were warmly greeted by the staff, and everything was taken care of from the very start. Freddie and his team arranged the airport shuttle, ferry tickets, and even a transfer from the ferry terminal to the hotel. The convenience of this service was amazing—everything worked out so smoothly that we could fully enjoy our time without any hassle.

The hotel itself has a relaxed, casual vibe, perfectly suited for anyone looking for a laid-back stay by the beach. We stayed in one of the bungalows with a fan, and it offered the comfort we were looking for. The room was simple but clean, with an en-suite bathroom and amenities like soap, shampoo, a minibar, and a safe. I especially loved the balcony with a hammock, where I could relax while enjoying the peaceful ocean views. Though the rooms are a bit dated and located near the restaurant, they are still very cozy. If you’re looking for absolute quiet, it might be worth asking for a room away from the restaurant area, as it can get a little noisy at times.

The location of Freddies Santai Sumurtiga is a real highlight. It’s right on the beach, and the view of the Andaman Sea from the hotel is breathtaking. Each morning, I woke up to the beautiful sight of the sunrise over the ocean—a peaceful way to start the day. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore at night was incredibly calming, providing the perfect soundtrack for a restful night’s sleep. The beach itself is pristine, with clean white sand perfect for taking selfies or a relaxing swim. However, getting into the water can be a bit challenging due to some coral and stones on the beach, so it’s best to be cautious when entering.

The hotel Freddies Sabang offers a variety of amenities to make guests feel at home. The staff is always available to help arrange transport or answer any questions. While breakfast is not included, there is a lovely restaurant on-site where we had delicious meals. The food was fresh and flavorful, with a great selection to satisfy different tastes. It’s also a great spot to unwind in the evenings, as the restaurant has a laid-back, cozy atmosphere—perfect for grabbing a drink or enjoying a good meal.

One thing to note is that the hotel does not provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, so it’s a good idea to bring your own. Additionally, while the rooms are equipped with fans instead of air conditioning, they are still comfortable, and the light sheets make sense given the tropical climate. If you enjoy a more natural, breezy atmosphere, the fan rooms are perfect for you.

Overall, my stay at Freddies Sumur Tiga Sabang was nothing short of amazing. The peaceful setting, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere made it an ideal retreat. Whether you want to unwind by the beach, enjoy a delicious meal, or simply relax in a hammock with the ocean breeze, this hotel offers a tranquil and comfortable experience. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Sabang looking for a cozy and charming place to stay.

Kuching Waterfront: A Journey Through Time and Tranquility

Ah, the Kuching Waterfront! If you’ve never been, you’re in for a treat. The first time I visited, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I'd heard about it from a few travel forums, and it seemed like a "must-visit," but you know how those can be hit or miss. Spoiler alert: Kuching Waterfront was a massive hit for me, and I’m not the kind of person who’s easily impressed by just a riverside promenade. Let me tell you about my first day there—it started off a little rough. I woke up later than planned (typical me), rushed through breakfast, and by the time I made it to the Waterfront, it was mid-morning. Honestly, I was kind of grumpy because the sun was already blazing, and I forgot to pack a hat. That humidity? Yikes. But you know what? The moment I stepped onto the walkway and saw the Sarawak River, all my worries kind of melted away. There’s something about that wide, calm river that just puts you in a good mood. It’s like the whole city takes a deep breath there. The beauty ...
